*브리즈-솔레이, 테크니컬 센터를 경계짓다. [ MRM arquitectos ] technological center of estella

건축은 내외부 경계에 대한 결과물로 이에 합당한 건축적 어휘가 사용되었을때 비로서 우리는 건축의 미학적 쾌감을 맛 볼수 있다. 다양한 볼륨의 집합체로 구성된 테크니컬 센터의 다이나믹한 외형은 내부의 다양한 프로그램들을 각각 만족시키는 기능공간; 각 공간들의 경계 그리고 접합으로 형성된다.

비즈니스 인큐베이터를 표방하는 내부 프로그램은 저층부에 대형 오픈 워크스페이스를 위시하여 연구실과 락커룸, 미팅룸이 자리하며 이에 상응하는 오피스와 트레이닝룸 및 미팅룸이 상층부에 배치된다.

특히 이번 테크니컬 센터의 건축적 특징을 잘 보여주는 외피시스템은 건축물의 효용적인 에너지관리과 내부환경의 거주성을 확보하는 차양시스템; 브리즈-솔레이 으로 아노다이징 처리한 알루미늄 버티컬 루버로 디자인된다. -외부 강렬한 태양의 직사광선의 유입은 차단하되 루버를 이용, 간접광을 내부로 풍부하게 유입시켜 내부조도를 유지시킨다. 이와함께 내부를 외부의 시선으로 부터 차단하는 프라이버시 확보 기능도 추가된다.- 여기에 각 프로그램의 성격, 공간의 크기, 더 중요한 향에 따라 루버의 사이즈와 오러랩핑을 다르게 함으로써 개성넘치는 건축적 외형을 구현하게 된다.

juxtaposing different functions within the one building, the ‘technological center of estella’ by spanish firm MRM arquitectos is configured by layers of varying heights in response to its multiple uses. based on a flexible spatial arrangement, the volume, which also contains a ‘business incubator’ reflects its lack of a clearly defined program. upon approaching the utilitarian form, the main access is located through a large square – an indent in the linear façade, composed of large anodized aluminum brise-soleis. the integrated structural element allows solar control to help avoid direct light reflected into the interior. the orientation, density and overlapping between them adapts a formal aesthetic language across the exterior’s surfaces. next to the entrance, a large showroom space occupies the entire north side facing the road. heavy workshops and laboratories also located on the ground floor, opening out to a central courtyard.

the technology center consists of laboratories on the first floor, locker rooms, a meeting space and a large open working area, while the second floor is used for offices, a training room and meeting rooms. in contrast, the wing of the business incubator on the first and second floors are divided into zones between 50-75 sqm, fitted with various facilities and flexible partitioning options in order to accommodate different activities. the uniform nature of the exterior was applied to the compositional development of the interior, the intention was to achieve a level of spatial versatility, enabling internal reorganization.
