일본 아이치현, 주거단지 내 교차로에 위치한 요코이 치과병원의 지향점은 무뚝뚝한 겉모습에서도 쉽게 찾을 수 있다. 심플과 클린; 단순함과 청결함은 프로그램; 치과병원이 추구해야하는 건축환경과 동일, 건강한 건축환경을 구현한다. 균질한 백색과 매우 단순한 사각형태, 그리고 단조로움을 즐거움으로 변화시키는 다양한 크기의 창문들을 통해 건물은 인지되고 고유화된다. -불필요한 장식은 배제한다. 이는 단순한 건축 스타일 뿐만아니라 사인과 광고를 최소화함으로써 건축 컨셉을 증폭시킨다.- 그리고 지역 커뮤니티를 지원하는 장소로 아이콘화 된다.
내부공간은 앞서 이야기한 창문과 천창을 통해 밝은 분위기를 유지하며, 대기실의 실제 크기보다 확장된 공간감과 편안함을 환자들에게 전달한다. 상담실 또한 이러한 공간적 특징을 연장, 의료행위를 위한 기능적인 공간; 작업공간 확보는 물론 심리적인 안정감을 전달하는 편안함을 제공한다.

You can find Yokoi dental clinic in Aichi prefecture. Site is located at the intersection of the residential area.
To become an icon and be well liked by the community, we minimised signs and advertisements. We kept the design simple and clean, a white box with assorted square windows to capture people’ s attention.
Inside, you can feel the light from these and the skylights above, which gives you the impression of being in a more spacious waiting area.
In the consultation room, to make patients more relaxed, we embedded lights into the beam structures. This provides both direct functional lighting for dentists at work, as well as diffusing into the wider room to brighten up the space around each beam.
