캐나타 디자인 스튜디오, PARTISANS가 인테리어한 레스토랑의 인상적인 천장곡면은 멕시코 전통시장의 천막을 모티브로 디자인하였다. 그뿐만 아니라 도자기의 유연한 곡선도 함께 디테일에 녹여, 아름다운 공간감을 연출하였다.
백색의 유연한 곡선은 유리섬유와 강화석고를 이용, 시공하였다.
Canadian architecture studio PARTISANS, has completed Quetzal, a new restaurant in Toronto, whose design has been inspired by the billowing tarps of Mexico’s mercados (market stalls).
In addition to being inspired by the Mexico’s market stalls, further inspiration was drawn from the organic details found in Oaxacan pottery.
The white, undulating ceiling is composed of glass fibre-reinforced gypsum, while the bar and details feature Canadian maple and Ductal concrete.
