[ Derringer cycles ] Ride me to the moon..and back

Forget the Peugeot S2 Vogue MC and all similar scooters that remind you of bitter sweet school times and the crazy seventies, just because they have a pedal to occasionally maybe push. The true beauty is a rare Derringer Cycle. Damn, it would have been nice to owe one back then!
They call them the new Bentleys. Who are "they"? "They" are either ecologists, or luxists.  Either way, the Derringer Cycles -named after the pocket size old pistol- as a company is a cross between a 1920s board track motorcycle and a pure and simple good oldfashioned bike, that bears Adrian Van Anz's signature. He said during an interview once, that the reason he had to come up with this project, was that he thought it's a missing link between between his old Schwinn and his new Ducati.
And so the magnificent and completely handmade Derringer Cycle with hand-riveted leather Brooks seats was born. One that just like in the old times, can be pedaled like an ordinary bike. But the trick is that one can also ride it like a motorcycle (in fact, without even having to have a motorcycle licence let alone valid insurance), acchieving nevertheless an astounding 150 mpg.
You can place your orders online, but keep in mind, that it takes approximately one whole month for each bike to be build and the costs rise up to 3,500 $. On the plus side, there are today more than 250 colors to choose from, not that you would find any of your neighbours driving one.....Ready to push the pedal of your life style?
