[ POS1T1ON ] Hypha Furniture Collection

Seeking to provide relevant designs to the Hungarian scene and the international body of work, POS1T1ON carefully studies and researches prior to beginning their designs. Their multi-disciplinary methodology ensures that their work maintains an innovative approach and that the pieces communicate clearly to the design community. With work in object design, visual design and space design, POS1T1ON shows a lot of promise and young enthusiasm to design.

The Hungarian studio has launched their first furniture collection of 2010 Hypha, with a rich urban feel. Using steel tubes as the structure, it bends and creates the skeleton that embraces a woven layer of ropes (by Phuong Thuy Nguyena) that gives it character and contemporary appeal.  A  simple powder coated treatment gives it color and protects it from the elements, making the collection suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Side tables and coffee tables complement the low-height lounge chairs.  The rhythmic lines create the table tops and bases, adding a rich pattern and a practical accessory to an elegant design family of furniture.
