내부의 유기적인 조닝은
순백색의 리듬컬한 메스들로
정렬된다.
정렬된 메스들 사이로 형성된 중정은
각 공간들 간의 긴장감을 해소시켜주며
파코하우스에 중심이 된다.
공간의 조닝시 우리는
각 볼륨들을 조닝하면서 자연스럽게
반내외부 공간이 형성되기도 하고
처음부터 의도적으로 중정을
계획하여 각 공간과의 연계성을
고려하기도 한다.
건축을 디자인하는 디자이너의
가장 큰 실수중 하나가 처음과
같이 구축되어지는 볼륨을 만지고
그 볼륨값의 나머지로 외부를 형성시키는
디자인을 많이 한다.
그렇게 구축에 대한 논리로만 계획되어져
결국은 적절한 긴장감을 유지시켜주지 못하고
데드스페이스가 되는 경우도 많이 볼 수 있다.
그래서 아웃도어스페이스 공간에 페이빙 패턴놀음이나
하는 일들도 종종 일어 난다.
디자인은 현실적인 사물의 형태를 만지는 것이 아니고
생활의 패턴에 알맞은 크기로 알맞은 형태로
알맞은 쓰임새로 만들어져야 한다.
그래서 형태보다 큰 덩어리의 조닝으로 보면서
계획을 하여야만 이용자 또는 거주자를
만족 시킬 수 있다.
Located in Alto do Lagoal, a neighborhood facing the sea in Lisbon, Portugal, the home sits nicely between two blues: the sky and sea. The House at Paço de Arcos by Jorge Mealha, unfolds a setting where solids and voids are in display for each other. The arrangement and span of the masses allows for interesting in-between spaces that not only allows light to penetrate the core of the development but also allows reflection as water and shadows bend the surfaces and maximizes its adjacencies. These reflections allows for a dramatic play and change of light throughout the day and give texture to the endless cement plaster walls that dress this house.
The juxtaposition of volumes creates interesting paths, exquisite views and comfortable interior spaces protected from the harsh sunlight. The play of masses create an experience which bends and moves the functional needs of the home. What I truly love the most is the attention each surface calls upon itself when viewed from different positions. When you stand across the pool you see a repeated mass with a corner fenestration. When you stand across the pool vertically, you see the canopy reflected and stretching the volume below the water. Every nook and every space captures a new experience. The wash of white throughout clearly puts purpose to the well thought out geometries. The true color of this home is created by the interactions of mass and void.
