Japanese design company, Okamura, have created an ingenious way of successfully combining the desire for open working spaces - where staff can brainstorm and work together as a team with ease - with the simultaneous need for enclosed spaces where they can concentrate, focus and have meetings without being disturbed.
Answering this call for diversity in the workspace, Muffle is a
series of sound-absorbent office systems that promote a quiet
environment for focused work and concentrated communication. Providing
sound-absorbency of up to 500Hz, the designs, which range from
partitions and path dividers to a variety of cubicles, provide the
perfect balance between open and closed working spaces.
These
functional systems are available in a choice of nine standard colors
(Mushroom, Oats, Chamomile, Sage, Peach, Huckleberry, Grape, Pumpkin,
and Vanilla), as well as a selection of special hues, such as Coffee,
Latte, Tomato, Sesame, etc.
