aside from the growing popularity of 3D printing technology and the advantages it has provided for multiple design disciplines, the chinese studio of KBme2 believes that there is a simple way we can create homeware that could truly belong to the user. this idea has led to the formation of a tissue box constructed from the timeless childhood toy, LEGO. by stacking the building blocks to represent the small scale architecture of a house, the product offers multiple functions. the stable structure features a series of voids and containers in the shape of two miniature balconies and a skylight. these spaces are suitable for controllers or mobile phones and other necessary everyday items. in addition, the modular units can be customized through colors and minifigures that can decorate the rooftop and façades.
