베트남 나트랑 지역, 나즈막한 언덕 위에 자리한 작은 레스토랑 '클라우드'가 지역건축가, a21studio에 의해 최근 완공되었다. 프로젝트는 지역 개발사업(I-resort)의 일부분으로 함께한다. 약 60명정도의 수용규모는 지역재료 및 자원을 활용하여 구축된다.
나무를 특정 모듈 및 부재치수로 재단, 가공하여 구축하는 대신 전체 통나무를 결합 구축한다. 이는 경제적인 효과와 함께 지역색을 고스란히 투영한 건축환경을 표현한다. 구조프레임 위, 메탈 프레임과 화려한 캔버스로 마감된 지붕은 주변으로 부터의 식별성 확보는 물론 내부 조명설비를 위한 바탕으로 제공된다. -당연한 일이지만 외부 태양과 비로 부터 손님들을 보호하는 역활도 함께 수행한다.-

located at the top of a hill near the vietnamese city of nha trang, this small restaurant has been completed by local firm a21studio. the project, which is part of the region’s I-resort – is capable of hosting 60 guests, and has been constructed using local resources and materials.

instead of adjusting the sourced wood to meet specific modules, the logs are kept whole – reducing the amount of modifying required. above, a lightweight metal frame is covered with a colorful and vibrant canvas that serves as a identifiable and visible lantern. this canopy not only functions as the restaurant’s primary light source, but also protects visitors from the region’s rain and sun.
a bar has also been erected using stone slabs that were brought to the site and installed with an old boat covering the top of the structure. the project seeks to challenge conventional building methods with processes that reduce building time and waste while maximizing available materials.
