*역동적인 계단홀 디자인 [ HASSEL ] winds a series of staircases through medibank building in melbourne

멜버른에 위치한 호주 거대 보험회사의 메디뱅크의 역동적인 인테리어 디자인은 직원들을 위한 활동적이며 건강한 작업환경 구현을 목표로 디자인 된다. 디자인은 HASSELL 종합건축회사를 필두로 chris connell design,  kerry phelan design office,  russell & george 각 디자인 회사의 콜라보레이션으로 완성된다.

메디뱅크의 핵심적인 건축어휘; 효율적인 업무환경 제공을 위한 디자인은 각 층을 수직으로 연결하는 램프와 계단에 다양한 컬러와 역동적인 곡선을 디자인한다. 그리고 이를 통해 아트리움은 추상적이며 흥미로운 공간으로 직원 및 방문객들에게 제공된다.

직원들을 위한 건강한 작업환경은 개별적인 회의실 및 그룹 미팅이 가능한 영역, 와이파이가 가능한 발코니에 이르기까지 26가지 이상으로 제공되며, 그라운드 레벨에 위치한 다목적 스포츠 그라운드와 작은 간이 주방으로 포함하는 정원이 서비스 시설로 배치된다.

외부요소;자연환경은 내부로 유입된다. 많은 식물들과 녹색환경을 통해 내부환경에서 발생하는 스트레스를 감소시키는 동시에 공기 질 향상과 가시적인 작업환경을 향상시킨다.

the dynamic interior of the new medibank building focuses on offering employees a health-based and activity-based working environment. located in melbourne, the company is australia’s largest health insurer where multidisciplinary practice HASSELL who collaborated with chris connell design, kerry phelan design office and russell & george were tasked to reflect medibank’s values in their vast new space. the focal architectural feature of the building is the series of staircases and ramps which wraps around and connects together all the levels. using a combination of colors as an aid, the curvilinear form of the stairs creates an abstract and visually interesting view through the atrium. encouraging employees to adopt their own preferred working environment, there are over 26 types ranging from indoor quiet, group areas to wifi-enabled balconies where people can stand whilst working. furthermore, with a multipurpose sports grounds on the ground floor there is an adjacent edible garden with a demonstration kitchen.

bringing as much of the outdoor nature indoors, many plants and greenery has been distributed throughout the building to relieve stress, improve internal air quality and visually cultivate an enjoyable work setting. along with many planters placed inside and outside, there are two 25-metre high street-facing green walls. overall, the lighthearted medibank complex has established a unique environment for visitors and workers where the space hopes to help ideas grow and at the same time, deliver cultural and financial value through improved productivity and efficiency.
