berlin studio gonzalez haase AAS, has completed a bright, cheerful, patchwork interior for healthy fast-food ‘beets and roots’ restaurant in the heart of the german capital. the interior is divided into colored zones which are connected through the use of pastel tiles, which cover the walls, floor and bar area.
the pixelated fashion of the tiles adds a contemporary layer to the restaurant which is reminiscent to that of an american diner. gonzalez haase AAS has evoked this casual atmosphere, through the use of irregular neon halos and canteen-style bar. all of these elements are juxtaposed against bare concrete walls and wooden seating areas, which help contribute towards the modern and honest philosophy that beets and roots aims to provide.
