russian visualization architect koloskov dmitry of KDVA studio creates a simple yet elegant cork-clad armchair. dating back 4,000 years, the chair found in the ancient east has never lost its form. the ecological archair is made up of two arches: the seating area and the chrome feet.
KDVA‘s archair includes a cork seat that is also a single shape that fits in the two arches. the chrome legs go around the chair and are held together in four places with four screws. ‘in my opinion, these materials are recycled: just metal and ecological cork,’ says the head designer, ‘for the 21st century, recycling is a very serious problem.’
