The house, along the Lisdoddelaan in the Amsterdam vinex-area IJburg, is part of the Kleine Rieteiland, where private families have the opportunity to realize their dream home. In the urban plan by John Bosch, with a square type public space and surrounded by a high, enclosing walls from various houses, the front elevation is relatively closed and rather inconspicuous. This is quite a big contrast with the spectacular interior space filled with daylight and a panoramic view overlooking the water towards the former Diemerzeedijk.
