The area concerned is on the edge of the historic fabric with important architectural ruins , but has no direct visual and functional relationship with the surrounding urban areas. The new building is manifested as a building directed in all ways; acting as an ordering elemnt around the surrounding construction sector, taking up a series of alignments of the existing buildings. The project idea was articulated by setting a uniform functional machine with the existing RSA, both for the permeability of the services and for the “public” feature.

The building of existing RSA then becomes part of a more large-scale drawing , giving rise to volumes generated from a single axis that distributed with multiline northbound guidelines. Volumetric articulation of the new building pays particular attention to the bio-climatic aspects; the morphological evolution of around, with the mountains on the West, curtain and cyclic dominant winds South-North direction affect strongly the new RSA, which takes shape and position to act as a barrier to afternoon winds and identify areas of park closed at court, gardens and open protected back towards the North, from which also scenery views towards the Sarca Valley.

The building is characterized by its materiality and plasticity; monolithic in his being, d recognizability of the spaces generated thanks to a continuous diversify of relationship with the emptiness of the stubble, and the system of prospectuses, loggias and openings.
