건물이 주는 절제된 기형학적 메스는 상상이상의 카리스마를 뿜어낸다. 화이트 솔리드로 구성된 메스는 이 건물이 집이라는 생각을 전혀 들게 하지 않는다.
건축가의 독특한 구성방식이 전혀 다른 아이텐티의 건물을 만들어 내고 있다. 외부로 열려 있어야 창 또는 개구부를 중정으로 계획하여 전혀 다른 패러다임의 주거의 형태를 보여주고 있다.
외피의 극도로 절제된 디테일과는 반대로 내부의 구성은 다이나믹하게 구성되어있다.
먼저 3개의 레벨로 구성된 단면을 보면 지하층에 프라빗 침실을 구성하고 지상층으로는 거실과 같이 공용공간으로 구성하였다. 이 집만의 독특한 공간은 바로 외부와 내부를 연결해주는 중정이라 할 수 있다. 외부로 부터 집적 노출되지 않고 꺽인 공간(히든뷰)을 통하여 내부는 연결된다. 지하 침실은 프라빗 선큰(드라이 에어리어)로 연결된다.
처음 무심코 볼때는 조형적인 절제된 형태의 구성이라 생각되었는데 프로그램 구성과 조합방식 내외부를 연결하는 방식이 사뭇 우리의 기존 방식과는 다른 방식이라 적잖이 놀란 프로젝트이다.
우리는 집적 연결하기 원하고 집적보기를 원하고 가장가까운 곳에 배치하고 공간과 공간을 직선으로 연결해 주는 것을 원칙으로 배우고 그렇게 플래닝해 왔다. 하지만 이 프로젝트와 같이 공간과 공간의 연속성을 우회하여 다면적으로 연결하는 방식은 우리에게 새로운 형태의 메스와 내부의 새로운 공간감을 경험하게 해준다.

The site is on the outskirts of
, in a high position overlooking the city.
The functions are banal: a house divided in private area with bedrooms, and social area with living-rooms. The private areas are at street level under the plot, around a central courtyard with rooms opening to private patios in a intimate environment. The living rooms are around a void, that collects light from above and gazes the castle at the city centre.
The house is a recognizable archetype emptied of its centre by the light designed by a three heighted courtyard that opens horizontally at the garden level. The bedroom courtyards, revealed in the garden, relate with this archetypal object providing different readings on its scale. Scale and volume are controlled in a chaotic context, with a clear identity that from its core relates with the historical legacy far away: the
Castle.
