이탈리아의 역사적 랜드마크에 사각형 LED조명을 더합니다. 레드, 화이트, 그린 세가지 삼원색은 역사적 시간에 현대도시적 컨텍스트를이어주는 어반등대로 새롭게 구성됩니다.

set upon the tallest building in turin, italy is the 'torino + light + italian colours mole antonelliana lighting installation', a project by italian architect italo lupi and milan-based practice migliore + servetto architetti associati, in collaboration with dutch electronics company philips and italian lighting fixture company luceplan. the historic landmark, 'mole antonelliana', is currently sporting three rectangular steel frames which contain red, white and green LED lights to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the unification of italy. suspended from the spire and floating above the dome approximately 80 to 100 meters high, the perimeter of the tilted frameworks are 168 meters in length.

coming to life at night, the brightly illuminated elements project the colors of the italian flag in celebration to the city. the structure's new dressing of colorful rings becomes a main symbol to the citizens, communicating this milestone to the pedestrian level and reaching as far as the suburbs. visible from all perspectives, visitors have a panoramic vista of the emblematic gesture as they approach from the surrounding hills.
