기생건축? 19세기 철길에 인접한 좁고 긴대지 위에 새로운 타입의 스튜디오 프로젝트가
진행됩니다. 과거의 영광은 뒤로... 오래된 철길과 그 기억을 투영하는 코르텐 스틸
-내후성 강판-은 그렇게 스튜디오의 외피를 덮고 세로의 리니어한 틈으로 백색의 내부공간과
외부를 연결합니다. 접혀진 볼륨은 이렇게 슬릿한 개구부를 만듭니다.
또한 철길에 인접해 있는 만큼 진동과 소음에 대한 대책 또한 필요합니다.
주변 진동으로 부터 건축물을 이격해 주는 고무기초 그리고 진동을 흡수하는
6mm 섬유매트는 안락한 내부 공간을 보장합니다. 여기에 소음에 대한 음향절연과
내부 립타입의 구조는 외부로 부터 유입되는 소음 공진시켜 최소한의
소음을 유지하도록 도와줍니다.
특이한 위치, 특이한 생김새, 그리고 이 모든 것들을 가능케 하는
시스템. 재미있는 프로젝트임에 틀림 없습니다.

attention to soundproofing and vibration control. a rubber foundation
allows the structure to act independently of the surrounding surfaces. the
external wall is composed of a series of sheets that systematically reduce noise and structural resonance while providing internal comfort.
the six-millimeter outermost layer is supported by a system of steel ribs, packed with fiber matting acoustic insulation and is structurally
independent of the inner wall construction. the air gap between the inner and outer membranes contains the thermal insulation, freeing the
inner skin to focus solely on additional acoustic reduction, with an adhered dampening film that combats structural resonance. the skylight, more directly connected to the sound of passing trains and vulnerable to acoustic bridging, is composed of two layers of thick glass with a 16 millimeter cavity in between
