Will planning your business strategy among the trees make you more eco-friendly?

That’s the idea for this tree house, designed as a meeting room and technology hub tucked inside the Hechtel-Eksel Forest in Belgium.

The structure was designed by Baumraum, a German firm known for its inventive tree houses and hotels, for paper company Sappi and the Flemish Agency for Forests and Nature.

The design, by architect Andreas Wenning, consists of two small cabins and terraces constructed from pine, oak and spruce, resting on 19 steel stilts that minimize the impact on the forest floor.

The entire structure is designed to be energy-efficient, with a CO2-neutral heating and cooling system. The lower cabin is outfitted with a coffee lounge and technology room while the upper cabin, 6.5 metres above the ground, serves as a meeting room.
