*샤머니즘과 현대예술을 접목하는 전시장 [ Jakob + MacFarlane-es Maîtres du Désordre Exhibition

전시장의 주요한 디자인 컨셉은 전통적인 샤머니즘과

현대예술을 접목시켜 살아 움직이는 공간을 연출하는데 있다.

이와같은 공간구축은 스틸프레임 위에 플라스터 보드를 조각조각

모자이크로 이어붙인 거친형태의 마감에서 찾아 볼 수 있다.

정교하지 않은 거친 디스플레이 스페이스는 전시된 작품들과

실시간으로 동기화 하며 오브제와 전시장을 하나의 시공간 속으로

엮는다. 그리하여 이곳을 방문하는 관람객들은 이원화 되지 않은

전시공간을 통한 시간여행을 자연스럽게 만끽하게 된다.

Les maîtres du désordre (Masters of Chaos) exhibition boasts an idiosyncratic scenography that reflects the show’s subject matter: the shamanism of traditional cultures in parallel with contemporary art.

Paris’ musée du quai Branly has been transformed into a labyrinth-like space which immerses visitors in an experience intended to evoke a shamanic inner journey. Designers Jakob + MacFarlane’s plan guides guests through different themed areas they call ‘cells.’

The space is sculpted by a frame of steel scaffolding, partly clad in pieces of plasterboard. Materials are basic and many details have been deliberately left unfinished to create a sense of rawness and immediacy.

Curated by Jean de Loisy, the exhibition combines installations by contemporary artists with shamanic items from the museum’s collection. It can be seen until 29 July.
