*자연과 동기화하다. 타이완 란양 박물관 [ artech architects ] blend lanyang museum into a rocky terrain

자연과 통하다. 인간에 의해 창조된 인위적인 건축공간은 불변하지 않다. 자연의 일부분으로 나이를 먹고 늙어가고 삶을 마감하게 된다. 그리고 다시 누군가의 새로운 생명의 시작을 위한 밑거름이 된다. 자연은 그렇게 윤회하고 순환한다.

여기 타이완에 위치한 란양 박물관은 한때 번영을 누렸던 항구, 이제는 습지대로 변모한 수변가에 새로운 이정표를 세운다. 박물관의 건축적 특징을 적나라하게 표현하는 기울어진 볼륨은 마치 땅으로 침몰하는 듯한 괴기한 모습으로 디자인 된다. 특히 이러한 형상은 외부 마감된 화강석과 알루미늄 패널 및 글래스가 지면과 사선, 즉 기울어진 건축물의 면을 따라 형성됨에 따라 그러한 건축적 시퀀스를 두드러지게 표현한다.

여기 건축은 자연과 동기화 하려는 건축의 모습으로 주변 지형 -험준한 주변지형 중 기괴한 암석과 같이-  및 인근에 널부러진 낙엽이 부폐하여 자연속으로 환원하는 과정을 투영한다. 그리고 자연의 자의적은 패턴만이 건축물을 구성하는 요인은 아니다. 내부공간 프로그램에 따라 외부는 솔리드 되거나 보이드 된다. 전시공간 및 관리영역은 솔리드 스페이스로 외부에 화강석과 알루미늄 패널로 마감되며, 로비와 레스토랑은 보이드 스페이스로 외부에 커다란 천창으로 디자인된다.

외형적 상이함이 주변시선을 사로 잡는 매력적인 시퀀스를 형성하는 것이 아니라 자연과 동화 하려는 인공적인 건축물의 지향점이 닿아 있는 건축의 힘이 사람들의 마음을 사로 잡는 것이다.

the ‘lanyang museum’ by kris yao/artech architects is a triangular mass that has been built into the ground at an angle, blending the manmade structure in with the cuesta rock formation in which it is positioned. located adjacent to the wushih port, once a prosperous harbour that is now wetland, the overall architecture draws formal cues from the immediate terrain. to visually harmonize the ‘lanyang museum’ with its rugged surroundings, the façade elements feature a range of granite and cast aluminium panels that vary in texture and size, and which represent the nearby reef’s natural erosion process.

the interlacing solid and glass volumes which make-up the entirety of the property define the programmatic functions of the building: opaque sections are dedicated exhibition and administrative areas; while the glass segments indicate as a lobby and restaurant area. openings between these individual proportions offer perceivable divisions on the interior and exterior, while also allowing natural light to filter through inside. the ‘lanyang museum’ rhythmically shifts in and out of its rocky locale, reflecting the history, culture and landscape of lang yang, while also drawing attention to the ecology of its place through the integration of an outdoor exhibition.
