샌프란시스코의 아름다운 도시풍경과 마주한 글렌파크를 내려다 보는 즐거움은 이곳 레이들리 스트리트 하우스만의 특권으로 제공된다. 풍경을 담는 거대한 그릇? 픽쳐 프레임은 하우스가 지향하는 건축환경을 고스란히 나타낸다. 채광 확보는 물론 비쥬얼한 하우스를 형성한다.

차고레벨에 위치한 피봇도어를 통한 주출입구, 이로 부터 반층 올라간 자리에 주생활공간; 거실, 주방, 식당이 벽면에 연속된 오크우드 판넬로 통합된 내부공간을 연출한다. 그리고 상층부에는 주인침실과 욕실, 거주자를 위한 개인 정원으로 구성된다.

Michael Hennessey Architecture have designed a contemporary home in San Francisco, California.

Located in the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco, this ground-up residence harnesses natural light throughout the day, captures views of a wind-swept park, and a makes a strong visual connection to the split-level road at the front of the property.

One enters the home through a large pivot door on the garage level, up a flight of walnut stairs to the main living level. A continuous wall of rift-sawn oak veneer cabinetry runs the full length of the building tying the living area, kitchen, and dining area into one cohesive space. Floor-to-ceiling glass at either end of the main living level brings natural light deep into the space and provides dramatic views of downtown San Francisco and Bernal Heights. Bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the upper level, while a guest suite is located adjacent to the lower garden.
