The new Linares’ university district, designed by Canvas Arquitectos, emerged as a new site has a unique opportunity to define an urban structure that reinforces the urban identity and simultaneously create a relationship structure that integrates the university uses with those of industrial research.
The new campus has a clear geometric allowing logically have buildings and infrastructure, yet this track is open and is strongly involved with the territory, being sensitive to the landscape and topography as well as the mining and industrial condition defining since its founding in Linares. This sense of descent and discovery accused throughout the intervention.

It develops in a plot in hillside next to the southern city ring. The terrain is characterized by a trough running through the field diagonally and runs east-west. The project takes this direction as the main axis of development of planned management, proposing an increase from the diagonal space toward the perimeter.
For economic reasons, constructive and logical program development Scientific Technological Campus Linares is divided into two areas. This division is physics in management and defines the first phase specifically university buildings and the next is the research and business related to technological development.
The entire area is pedestrianized. This is achieved by creating a perimeter trench that houses and hides the presence of large parking whose inputs and outputs are well articulated with the streets and roads of the Campus.
Each projected building has a precise that specifically addresses their use but also a strong conceptualization, identity and laboratories and the departmental building respond to a double idea, a socket highly articulated path as wallpaper or cellular network that articulates with courtyards different scale and a number of small pieces that are arranged on green cover a hanging garden setting that establishes a relationship of landscape with all the surrounding geography.
Courtyards and rooftop garden resolved well climatic conditions and defined new relationship systems.
