스위스 Ayent 지방에 위치한 오래된 오두막을 개조, 가족들을 위한 휴양주택으로 재생시킨다. -1882년에 건립된 오두막으로 80년대에 개보수를 통해 근래까지 사용하던 공간- 이번 리노베이션은 새롭게 2층을 추가, 현대적인 거주공간을 증축하는 동시에 기존공간 및 요소들을 병치하여 지역환경과의 합리적인 조화를 구축한다. 기존 공간에 대한 시간은(시간의 흔적이 반영된 기존 구조물과 재료들은 고유한 아이텐티를 발산한다.)기존 스톤 속에 함축적으로 내제되며 이것을 다시 기초로 조적벽돌과 현대적인 콘크리트가 합성된 거주공간을 완성한다.
작은 규모에 비해 거대한 글래스 윈도우는 효율적인 기능성 및 주변 자연환경을 내부로 유입시키는 매개체 역활을 수행한다. 그리고 겨울철 산속 추위에 대비하기 위해 솔라판넬과 우드스토브(화목난로)가 설치된다.

Swiss architect Laurent Savioz of Savioz Fabrizzi Architects has transformed an existing structure in the fields of Ayent, Switzerland into a holiday house for his family. Originally built as a barn in 1882, the building was then transformed into a house in the 1980’s through the addition of a second floor before Savioz gave it a more contemporary make-over in 2013. In choosing to keep the layers of the small building’s history exposed, the original stone base, the bricks added in the eighties and the contemporary concrete modifications have all been kept visible, albeit covered with a coat of dark paint to make them uniform. Efficient and spacious despite its small size, the house has large glass doors that open generously into the surrounding fields and forest. As for the alpine cold, solar panels and a wood stove were installed to keep the holiday-makers warm.
