A group of architects have joined forces to examine how key West End sites could be knitted into one overarching infrastructural plan.
The workshops, led by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, looked at the redevelopment of four sites in west London: the land around Ralph Erskine’s Ark building, The Apollo theatre in the West End; St Paul’s Green and the Hammersmith Bridge approach.
The collaborative workshops, part of the London Festival of Architecture, saw contributions from a number of architecture practices.
The ideas generated workshops were presented last week to the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham’s deputy mayor, Alex Karmel, and Councillor Eugenie White.
The architects who collaborated with Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands were:
Assael Architecture, Chartered Practice Architect, Hans Haenlein Architects, Heritage Architecture, Hugh Broughton Architects, The Manser Practice, Barroll Webber Architects, Powell Tuck Associates
