*토폴로지 미디어 파크 [ SHINE Architecture ] Media Park Ciudad Juarez

도시공간의 퍼블릭 스페이스를 재정의하는 오픈과 보이드는
자연을 재정렬하는 것에서 부터 시작한다.
미디어파크는 기존 토폴로지를 새롭게 구성함으로써 외부환경으로
보호받는 생태적인 커뮤니티 스페이스를 디자인하는 것에서 출발한다.
-그만큼 멕시코의 태양은 뜨겁다.-
특히 상부로 들려진 형태적 틈은 그 사이에 아가미와 같은 긴 오프닝을 발생시킨다.
이 오프닝은 하부공간이 자연채광과 자연환기가 유지 될 수 있도록 도와주는
중요한 역활을 하는 동시에 토폴로지의 형태를 구성하는 중요한 인자이다.
그리고 상부에 녹화되어 있는 지붕 또한 내부환경을 쾌적하게 유지시켜주는
친환경적 디자인 요소이다.-이분법적인 두개의 접근으로 생각 할 수 있다.
크게는 도시를 정화하는 폐와 같은 요소로써 작용하는 동시에
하부공간을 쾌적하게 유지시켜주는 생태적 도구로 작용한다.-
이와같은 친환경적인 요소는 하부공간을 자유로운 공간으로 구성시키며
다양한 레벨공간으로 각기 다른 문화 프로그램을 담아 사람들을 유입시킨다.
이렇게 재구성된 미디어파크는 도시를 숨쉬게 만드는 역활과 더불어
사람들의 마음을 숨쉬게 하는 장소로써 활용 될 것이다.
건축은 도시와 공간을 잇는 중요한 작업이다.
그 경계의 접점을 잘 찾아서 이어줄때 비로서 문화가 생기고
커뮤티니가 발생한다.

The morphology was given by bioclimatic studies having as outcome a series of passive strategies for the extreme and complex weather of Ciudad Juarez. The cracks or gills in the roof allow in north natural daylight and controlled south diffuse light. In terms of temperature, the apertures are design to leave summer south winds to get in and be directed , as well as working all year long as overheat outputs. Transitional spaces are thought to buffer both, physiological stress and physiological temperature and light change in the user.

Furthermore the over/open park serves as a lung for the city, avoiding the greenhouse effect , providing with specific plants evapotranspiration for humidity control in the area, also having thermal mass increase in the roof for inner thermal control, thus keeping the space in the right comfort zone.

The inner void contains a complex volumetric program, “floating” between spaces emerging from the basement and reaching the upper skin. They “cells” are distributed throughout the exhibition zone connected with a ramp system making the building a continuous interior-exterior cycle.
