*주거로 개조한 밀농장 하우스 [ Rural Design ] Bogbain Mill

이번 프로젝트는 밀농장의 유적을 통합하여 새로운 공간을 창출하는데 있다.

새로운 구조물과 구조 시스템 내부로 삽입된 오래된 벽의 조합은

석재로 구축된 밀농장의 벽과 대비를 이루며 모던한 디자인 공간을 만들어 낸다.

내부 중정은 여기 주거공간의 핵심공간으로 저층부에 위치한 내부 각 개실을

직접 연결하는 동시에 남측 휀스 넘어에 위치한 오두막을 건너보는

뷰포인트를 형성한다.

이렇게 전원과 현대는 만난다.

This project incorporates the ruins of a former mill. Combining the old walls with the new constructions and insertions in the fabric, it is intended to clearly articulate the modern additions set against the solid stone walls of the mill.

The internal courtyard has become the focus for the house, and all internal rooms on the ground floor have a direct relationship into this enjoyable south-facing garden overlooking a burn. A new bedroom tower allows views over the wider surrounding landscape.
