스위스 디자인 회사 as Konzept 가 제안하는 모바일 호텔; 호텔로는 어반라이프의 새로운 타입으로 제안된다. 비즈니스와 숙박이 합쳐진 작은 이동공간은 이용자에게 평온한 안식처이자 비즈니스 플랜을 위한 리프레쉬 스페이스로, 4m2 공간안에 데스크, 램프, 스툴, 책장과 락커로 구성된다. 이용자의 취향, 사용빈도에 따라 배치는 구획된 메탈프레임 안에서 가능하다.

Hotel Room in a Trunk Debuts at Salone del Mobile

Anyone still struggling to find a place for Milan Furniture Fair might be pleased to hear about Hotello. The concept –  a 4-sq-m rapidly deployable hotel room that fits into a trunk –  has been devised by Roberto de Luca and Antonio Scarponi for Swiss company Das Konzept.

The room consists of a metal frame and two curtains, one translucent and the other sound-absorbing. The designers imagine the rooms being used in empty city centre lofts. The trunk contains everything you need for a short stay; a desk, a lamp, a stool, a shelf and a locker.  It can be arranged in different configurations.

It looks like a lot of fun, but Das Konzept has a serious aim too – to investigate flexibility and acoustics in the work environment. Bord, a second project designed by Charles O. Job, is a cork workstation that can also be used as a meeting table or office partition.
