*시게루반, 오나가와 역사 프로젝트 [ Shigeru Ban Architects ] JR Onagawa Station

내륙으로부터 약 150미터 지점에 위치한 새로운 역사 프로젝트는 2011년 3월 11일 쓰나미로 소실된 오래된 역사 재건 사업으로 지역주민들의 문화공간 제공을 함께 구성한다. 3층으로 구성된 역사는 역사무실, 리테일샵, 대기장을 1층에 배치, 지역주민 및 여객인들의 피로해소를 위한 온천시설이 2층이 배치된다. 3층에는 주변 자연환경을 전망 할 수 있는 전망대가 제공된다.

재건에 대한 노력 및 기도에 대한 상징성은 새의 날개를 형상화한 지붕 디자인의 유연함 속에 함축적인 건축어휘로 표현되며, 격자 팀버구조를 통해 대형공간에서 요구되는 무주공간을 경쾌하게 확보한다.

This new station building is built approximately 150m inland from the old station building which was destroyed by the tsunami on March 11th, 2011.

The 3-storey station building will consist of the station, retail shops, and waiting areas on the 1st floor, a municipal hot spring facility on the 2nd floor, and a viewing deck on the 3rd floor.

As symbol of our thoughts and prayers towards the rebuilding efforts of this disaster-stricken area, the design of the roof is based on an image of a bird with its wings spread soaring towards a bright future.
