디아마스 하야마: 바다와 하나 되는 주거 APOLLO Architects & Associates-Diamas Hayama
모리토 해변은 하야마에서 가장 넓은 백사장을 자랑한다. 하야마는 일본에서 가장 오래된 해안 휴양지다. 윈드서핑을 즐기거나 에노시마 섬을 바라보며 산책하는 사람들로 늘 활기차다. 이 해안선 위에 디아마스 하야마가 자리 잡았다. APOLLO Architects & Associates가 설계한 이 콘도미니엄은 바다를 사랑하는 이들을 위해 대지에서 해변으로 직접 이어진다. 워케이션을 위한 거점이자 휴양 주거로서, 바다와의 직접적인 연결이 만드는 특별한 경험을 선사한다.
공용 로비에 들어서면 고창을 통해 쏟아지는 자연광이 넓은 아트리움을 채운다. 주변 주거 단지의 시선은 차단하면서도 빛은 충분히 들인다. 마치 호텔 로비처럼 여유로운 분위기가 흐른다. 높은 창문을 통해 들어온 빛은 석재 벽면을 따라 부드럽게 퍼지며 공간을 따뜻하게 감싼다.
17세대 전체가 서쪽 석양 방향 또는 남쪽 모리토 신사 곶 방향을 향한다. 각 유닛마다 최대 2.7미터 폭의 라나이가 달려 있다. 하와이식 반외부 공간인 이 라나이는 야외 가구와 녹색 식물로 꾸며진다. 거주자들은 이곳에서 해변 풍경을 온전히 만끽한다. 실내와 바다 사이의 이 공간에서, 계절의 변화와 빛의 흐름을 경험한다.
지상 3층, 지하 1층의 건물은 내진 벽을 결합한 철근콘크리트 라멘 구조로 넓은 개방감을 확보했다. 각 유닛의 외관은 깊은 차양 루버와 칸막이벽으로 절제미를 드러낸다. 플랫 슬래브 공법으로 보가 없는 깔끔한 목재 마감 천장면을 구현했고, 덕분에 자연광이 실내 깊숙이 스며든다. 밝고 트인 생활 환경은 프라이빗 주택의 분위기와 편안함을 동시에 갖췄다.
모든 유닛에 설치된 몰테니 주방은 주말 친구들과의 모임을 자연스럽게 이끈다. 250제곱미터에 달하는 최상층 펜트하우스는 내부 계단으로 오르는 전용 옥상을 갖췄다. 이곳에서 거주자들은 후지산을 조망하며 바비큐를 즐길 수 있다. 해안가 입지는 독특하면서도 현대적인 럭셔리를 담은 진정한 비치 하우스 경험을 만들어낸다.

Morito Beach is the largest stretch of sand in Hayama, one of Japan's oldest coastal resort towns. The beach is a popular destination where local residents and visitors alike enjoy activities such as windsurfing and walking along the seaside while taking in views of Enoshima Island. Set directly on the shoreline, Diamas Hayama offers an ideal base for "workations" or a holiday home. Inside the shared entrance lobby, clerestory windows draw natural light into a spacious atrium while simultaneously ensuring privacy from the cluster of surrounding residences. The result is a space that evokes the atmosphere of a hotel lobby. All 17 units face either west toward the sunset or south toward the promontory of Morito Shrine, and each features a lanai with a span of up to 2.7 meters. This semi open transitional space, equipped with outdoor furniture and decorated with greenery, allows residents to bask in the beautiful seaside setting.
The four level (three aboveground and one basement) building secures a wide structural span by employing a reinforced-concrete rigid-frame structure with seismic shear walls. Each unit presents a minimal exterior defined by deep brise-soleils and partition walls. The use of flat slabs allows for the elimination of dropped beams, resulting in a clean timber-panelled ceiling plane. As a result, natural light reaches deep into the interior, giving rise to a bright, highly open living environment with the atmosphere and comfort of a private residence.
The Molteni kitchens installed in all of the units make it easy to host weekend gatherings with friends. The top floor penthouse, which spans 250 square meters, features a private rooftop accessible via an internal staircase, where residents can enjoy barbecues while taking in views of Mount Fuji. The waterfront location creates a truly iconic beach house experience that is at once distinctive and contemporary luxury, while also embodying the concept of wellness-oriented architecture to deliver a lifestyle perfectly suited to the remote work era.
