베트남의 파나소닉 갤러리와 쇼룸이 새롭게 건축되었다. 매듭없는 봉투를 형상화 한 이 곳은 꽃무늬 패턴의 타라코타 벽돌을 이용해 만들어졌다.

vietnamese firm vo trong nghia architects has shared their design of a gallery and showroom for panasonic. the vertical site located in the dong da district, hanoi features a seamless envelope constructed entirely from terracotta bricks displaying a floral pattern.

the gallery space is placed on the top floor overlooking the streetscape. currently there are architectural models of vo trong nghia architects’ projects are being displayed, but this space can be reconfigured to offer designers and architects an opportunity to present work and interact. meanwhile, the other programs are organized around a central void and staircase. this encourages visitors to have a constant visual connection to the product being exhibited from the circulation route through the glass walls on each level. in addition to the decorative element of the choice of using terracotta bricks, the material is common in vietnamese architecture due to its air flow purposes. the blocks are designed for tropical climates to promote passive ventilation and shade from harsh sunlight and at night, the building acts similarly to a lantern due to the internal illumination through the perforations.
