Madrid based multidisciplinary creative Emilio Alarcón conceives ‘Evocative Playgrounds’, a digital art project that reflects on children’s playgrounds bringing various play structures of different scales to life. Drawing from the design of spaceships, locomotives, boats, and zeppelins, the artist utilizes Midjourney text-to-image generating software to construct structures of vibrant colors primarily imagined as wooden volumes that include elements and accessories made of metal and plastic. By the means of artificial intelligence and a careful iterative process, the series illustrates several arrangements dedicated to children’s recreational games.
