곡선이 만드는 부드러운 경계 Atelier Matteo Arnone-Quiinta do Álamo
리스본에서 40분, 포르투갈 알렝케르의 포도밭 사이로 Quinta do Álamo가 들어섰다. 오랜 와인 생산의 흔적을 간직한 이곳에서 Atelier Matteo Arnone는 와이너리 폐허를 두 DJ를 위한 주택으로 전환했다. 과거 대형 와인 통을 보관하던 저장고는 이제 창작과 일상이 공존하는 공간이 되었다.
건축가는 대칭 구조로 질서를 세우고, 곡선으로 경직함을 풀어낸다. 1층에는 거실과 주방, 침실이 대칭으로 배치되고, 각 공간은 반원형 중정을 향해 열린다. 이 구성은 명확한 위계를 만들면서도 곡선 형태가 기하학적 긴장을 누그러뜨린다.
세 개의 중정이 이 집의 핵심이다. 거실과 침실의 중정은 안과 밖의 경계를 흐릿하게 만든다. 곡선 벽이 날카로운 모서리를 지우고, 분리는 부드러운 전이가 된다. 자연광이 스며드는 은밀한 공간이 생긴다. 침실과 거실 사이 세 번째 중정은 더 내밀하다. 이곳은 위층 녹음실에 빛을 보내면서 생활 공간 사이의 시각적 연결을 만든다.
두꺼운 외벽은 단순한 구조체가 아니다. 이 벽은 위층으로 오르는 계단을 품고, 수납 공간을 담으며, 붙박이 가구 역할을 한다. 이런 통합 전략 덕분에 내부는 깔끔한 질서를 유지한다. 별도의 가구나 드러난 설비 없이도 모든 기능이 벽 속에서 작동한다.
