*아파트형 기숙사 [ Bates Smart ] Urbanest

다양한 입면감을 보여주는 학생주거 타워는
334명의 학생주거공간을 16층에 걸쳐
아파트먼트와 조합하여 마치 오피스 빌딩을
연상시킨다.
모듈디자인으로 제작된 윈도우 판넬은 사전에 제작되어
다양한 입면의 형태로 배치 및 구성 되었다.
다양한 입면패턴의 형태는 다시 수평의 밴드로
통합되어 균형감 있는 입면 디자인으로 구성된다.
리드믹컬한 패턴과 다양한 컬러의 조합은
각 개실의 평면과 맞물려 디자인 되어
개실을 사용하는 젊은 학생들의
다양한 삶의 버전을 유쾌한
디자인 코드로 해석한다.

The project is located in central Sydney and has been designed to create a lively, contextual building that reflects both its use as student accommodation and the character of the area.

The 16-storey ‘L’ shaped building accommodates 334 students in four to six bedroom cluster apartments arranged to maximise the number of apartments with northern aspect and dual orientation. Communal recreation facilities are arranged around a courtyard at ground floor with a single level basement accommodating plant space and bicycle parking.

The building form acknowledges the site’s corner location and has been designed to reinforce the surrounding scale and character by aligning the tower setback with the adjacent buildings.

Modular prefabricated wall and window panels are repeated in an alternating pattern across the facade to create a dynamic composition, with expressed horizontal band at floor level providing the building with a sense of scale and horizontal expression.

The full height window panels increase the sense of space within the bedrooms and are divided into a fixed clear glass panel and an operable coloured glass panel. The brightly coloured glass panels are inspired by the surrounding context and reflect the youthful vitality of student life.
