파리로 부터 북측으로 200킬로미터 떨어진 렌즈 지방에 완공된 '루브르-렌즈 뮤지엄'은
외부자연환경의 긴 호흡을 같이 합니다.
뮤지엄은 지형의 점진적인 변화를 28,000 스퀘어 공간 안에
독립적인 부스형태로 구획하며 공간을 조닝해 나갑니다.-독립적이지만 투명한 인클로징 글래스를
사용하여 시각적인 뷰 포인트는 열림으로써 시각적 소통은 막힘이 없습니다.-
이러한 건축방법은 주변환경과 건축을 점진적으로 동조화 하며 각 공간의 위계를 정립하는 동시에
투명한 원형 글래스로 하여금 막힘없는 소통을 지향합니다.
연속적인 306미터의 스팬은 대지를 따라 완만한 곡선형태로 휘어져
내부 예술작품의 전시가 방해되지 않도록 공간을 스트레치 합니다.
여기에 아노다이징, 폴리싱 처리된 알루미늄은 굴곡진 지형의 흐릿한 이미지를
건축물로 투영시키며 대지와 건축물을 일체화 합니다.
이중처리된 단열시스템과 바닥에서 천장까지 디자인된 글래스 파사드 시스템은
태양광을 내부로 풍부하게 유입시키며 내부 거주환경을 조절합니다.
-또한 롤 다운 세이딩을 이용하여 예술작품들을 직사광선으로 부터 보호합니다.-
루브르-렌즈 뮤지엄은 리니어한 메탈 루프와 이것을 지지하는 슬림한 기둥으로
이루어지며 절제된 건축을 통한 작은건축 큰 자연을 이야기 합니다.

conceived in 2003 and now complete in lens, france, is
the 'louvre-lens museum', another venue to the paris location designed
by japanese firm SANAA, new york and paris-based imrey culbert, landscape designer catherine mosbach and museographer studio adrien gardère. positioned approximately 200
kilometers north of paris, the center intends to bring touristic
attention to a collection of museums within the industrial region of
nord-pas de calais.
maintaining the openness of the once mine works
site, the 28,000 square meter building has been broken into smaller
spaces to follow the gradual grade changes of the terrain.
glass-enclosed galleries open perspectives across the grounds, using
transparency to create cross views through public spaces. spanning
306 meters in length and following the long and curved shape of the
property, a subtle distortion is generated inside without disrupting the
display of artwork. anodized, polished aluminum reflects a blurred
image of the undulating contours. double-insulated, full-height bays of
glass bring in daylight, while a system of roll down shades protect
the artwork. supporting the metal roof structure are many slim steel
columns painted white.
to abandon the practice of departmentalization, a 3,000 square meter
gallery called the 'grande galerie' will exhibit artifacts from the
louvre's collection without partitions along its 120 meter length. a
1,000 square meter glass pavilion will be a relaxing atmosphere to
experience themed exhibitions which examine the concept of time.
easily observed from the interior, the extensive park overtakes the 20
hectares of coal-mining landscape with nature, bringing a role of
sustainability into the palette of artistic, social and educational
